Learn how to build Beloved Community

My Approach

I come from an island off the coast of Honduras, where my Cuban grandmother taught me to work with ancestral spirits. I’ve worked with healing elements in nature since childhood, and Omisaide is the spiritual name my elders gave me in ceremony.

As an immigrant, I’ve had to relearn how to live connected to an inherent sense of belonging and worthiness. My journey has instilled in me a commitment to help others reconnect to this birthright of knowing we belong.

I've worked with individuals, families and organizations in the U.S. and Latin America for over thirty years, and  I practice what I teach.

I hold degrees, certifications, and/or years of practice in somatics, breathwork, dance, psychology, dialogue skills, collaborative leadership, dreamwork, creative writing, pain management, mindfulness and meditation. Relational Depth™ is informed by all of these -- as well as by the intergenerational healing traditions passed down via my Cuban lineage.

What is Relational Depth?

Relational Depth is a space, like a field of energy. A sacred space which we co-create when we consent to be guided by the wisdom of our bodies. In this space, we work together to release beliefs, judgements, and intergenerational burdens that no longer serve us. This is a space in which ancestral guidance, elements in nature, presence, authentic expression, and our own creativity emerge as we connect to and from our true selves. And at times it can be a space of silence in which we relate to each other completely nonverbally.

Relational Depth is also a practice. We practice mindfulness and ways of relating to each other that are based on co-regulation, attunement, empathic dialogue, emergence, spontaneity and creativity. It is a practice of coming back to our own inherent worth and that of others. Of identifying our values and shedding light on our patterns of disconnection, so that we may choose deep connection now. We do this by bringing awareness to our breath, our bodies, our whole selves, to nature, to others, and to the relational field itself.

Relational Depth is a space in which we practice being in relationship.
